Testimonials

"Samantha saved my life. She helped me focus on the 'why' behind my depression and poor eating habits. She is a genuine and caring person who didn’t let me quit, even though that would have been the easy path for both of us. She found ways to engage me that appealed to my soul. I will never forget the first crystal bowl meditation she took me to. It was wonderful and inspiring and continues to heal me to this day. Or her teaching me to shop for and cook healthy recipes. I still use the skills she taught me. Samantha opened my heart and mind. I will be forever grateful for her presence in my life."                                                  ~ Sara W.

"I started my journey needing to find my way back to myself.  I felt so at ease from the first meeting with Samantha. Her way of making me understand the feelings in my heart and my head have allowed me to think in a deferent perspective.  She taught me how even 5 minutes of meditation can help change my thoughts in that moment. I suffer from being overweight, food sensitivities, and an autoimmune disorder. She helped me with a new thought process about food and which foods eliminate the inflammation in my body. She introduced me to her fasting program and what a difference that has made for me. I am down 13 lbs in just a few weeks. I feel truly blessed and excited to have Samantha on this journey finding my way back to myself"                                                    ~Teresa J.

"Samantha not only helped me lose weight, she also helped me understand food addiction. I had been eating healthy for many years and had an exercise routine, but I couldn’t lose the weight I wanted to. Through my work with Samantha, I learned I was a sugar addict— or addicted to carbohydrates. Through her weight loss program, I cut back on many carbohydrates and gradually lost all the weight. Samantha is authentic, easy to talk to, non-judgmental, and a true expert in her field of work. She helped me heal from the inside out—and I’m forever grateful.

As a Health Psychologist, educator, and advocate for equity, I am deeply passionate about advancing mental health education and championing equitable treatment so every individual can thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially. I have witnessed the transformative power of open conversations, compassion, and access to mental health resources. Together, we can break down barriers, eradicate stigma, and foster a more inclusive and compassionate society. Mental health should be a right, not a privilege. I believe that we can create a society where individuality is valued through an empathic lens.  Together, we elevate minds, heal hearts, and empower lives!

I received my doctorate of education through University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Master of Psychology from Northcentral University, an array of post-professional certifications in nutrition science and health from Cornell University, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and  the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists.

I am a published author of 13 books and workbooks centered around educational equity, empathy, and inclusion.  In 2024, I was awarded the prestigious B-Corp Force for Good Award for my commitment to social impact in the community and higher education. I was also honored to receive the 2024 Dissertation Research Award for my dedication to advancing the agenda of marginalized, underserved students.

On a personal note, my two adult sons exemplify what it means to live fully, heart-centered, vision-focused, grateful, inclusive, and compassionate. Outside of invaluable friends and family connections, I find joy in meditation, music, and reading.
